Job Purpose
The 3rd year to Journeyperson Electrician, will be the go-to expert on-site, ensuring every installation, repair, and upgrade meets code, exceeds expectations, and stands the test of time. Their work will directly impact the safety, efficiency, and comfort of the spaces we power—whether it’s bringing a upgrading a family’s home, or troubleshooting critical systems to keep operations running.Education, Experience and Requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent, with strong foundational math skills. Completion of a pre-employment electrical program is an asset.
• Familiarity with, or a willingness to learn, the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC).
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders and scaffolding, work in confined spaces, and perform duties outdoors in varying Alberta weather conditions.
• A valid Class 5 driver’s license and reliable transportation to travel to various job sites.
• Journeyperson Electrician certification, Red Seal endorsement, or equivalent recognized electrical qualification. Or currently in the trades as a 3rd year electrician or better.
• Apprenticeship Registration: Must be registered as an apprentice in Alberta, or eligible for immediate registration, through Alberta’s apprenticeship system.
• Relatable Experience in the designated trade
• Experience with residential panel upgrades, service changes, lighting upgrades, smoke/CO detector installation, troubleshooting nuisance tripping, and renovation rough-ins.
• Experience working directly with homeowners, tenants, property managers, or housing maintenance teams.
• Ability to estimate basic material needs and identify follow-up work when required.

Working Conditions
• Standard work schedule: Monday to Friday, 800am – 400pm; flexibility to work evenings/weekends as needed.
• Primary location: Enoch Housing Authority Shop
• Physical fitness required (ability to walk, climb stairs, lift up to 50 lbs, etc.).
• A valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle are required.
• Must sign and adhere to the Enoch Cree Nation Confidentiality Agreement upon hire.
