Job Purpose
Enoch Cree Nation is building a Recovery Community, consisting of a $30 million dollar treatment facility and a comprehensive, end-to-end continuum of Indigenous addiction and mental health services rooted in culture, spirituality, and ceremony. The Administration Assistant/Receptionist will play an integral role in this innovative continuum of services, supporting implementation of it’s strategic and operational plan. The Administration Assistant/Receptionist will play a key role in the Wellness Branch as the receptionist will, in many cases, be the first Wellness staff member that our clientele interacts with. The receptionist is critical, as he or she may be the deciding factor of whether a nation member decides to get help from Wellness Services.Education, Experience and Requirements
•Greeting incoming clients of Wellness Branch Services as well as other service professionals attending meetings etc.
•Monitor and maintain reception area.
•Answer, screen, forward telephone calls and take messages.
•Perform duties such as minute taking, word processing, spreadsheets, compiling and recording data, maintaining files and inventories, operating office equipment, photocopying, sorting and logging incoming mail, stuffing envelopes or assembling packages when needed.
•Maintain a strong working knowledge of community resources, healthcare providers and available social supports. Actively provide service information based on individual needs and circumstances.
•Maintain privacy and confidentiality.
•Utilize tact, diplomacy, discretion and sound judgement.
•Commit to ongoing professional development and participate in recommended education and training opportunities.
•Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle is required
•Satisfactory Criminal Record with Vulnerable Sector Check
•Will have and maintain current First Aid and CPR certification.
•Training in Naloxone Administration/ Seizure Protocol
Working Conditions
The Administration Assistant/Receptionist will work in an office environment and is required to work 8:30am to 4:30pm Monday to Friday. May be required to work evenings and weekends, travel may be required. While adhering to the Enoch Cree Nation Human Resources Policy & Procedure Manual.
