Job Purpose
The Guest Support Worker is an integral member of the interdisciplinary team who is often the first point of contact for the guests. This position offers support to individuals who are unhoused and may be dealing with mental health, physical health, and/or addiction issues.Education, Experience and Requirements
• Experience working with homeless or similar population.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Phone etiquette.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as an effective team member.
• Ability to deal effectively with conflict and crisis.
• Able and willing to work all shifts (e.g. night, day, and evening)
• Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector.
• Standard First Aid and CPR.
• Reliable vehicle, valid driving license and insurance.
• (Preferred) Certificate/ Diploma in a human services program.
Working Conditions
This is a temporary, full-time position; Sunday to Saturday 24/7 shift rotations. (“normal operating hours”).
• While performing duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to communicate through in – person meetings, phone, or email.
• Primary location: Enoch Cree Nation wihcihaw maskokamik Building, with occasional travel to various sites.
• Must sign and adhere to the Enoch Cree Nation Confidentiality Agreement upon hire.
