Job Purpose
The Legal Researcher is responsible for researching, strategizing, and presenting legal matters that affect Enoch Cree Nation. The Legal Researcher assists in legal undertakings enacted by the nation. This is a role that requires both independent working skills and strong interpersonal skills, this role will be required to sign a confidentiality agreement and to strictly uphold that agreement.Education, Experience and Requirements
• Proficient with computers and knowledgeable of software programs such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Knowledgeable of the different levels of government and how they function. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Able to multi-task.
• Able to work both alone and as part of a team.
• Respectful of Elders and works well with them.
• Have a clear Criminal Record Check and Child Intervention Check.
• Required to sign the Confidentiality Agreement during Orientation.
• Must maintain professionalism, be respectful and dependable.
• Work efficiently and be punctual.
• Ensure a working relationship with supervisors, co-workers, and clientele.
Working Conditions
Required to work a total of 40 hours a week, at the Enoch Cree Nation Administration Building Department, while adhering to the Enoch Cree Nation Human Resources Policy & Procedure Manual.
