Job Purpose
Enoch Cree Nation Equestrian Department Full-time Equine Maintenance Position. The qualifications are as follows a highly motivated, enthusiastic, reliable, Equine Maintenance Person. Full-time hours fluctuate pending on horse and stable care and concern.Education, Experience and Requirements
• Must have prior excellent experience and knowledge of horses, stables, and track management
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Need to be able to lift 50 pounds
• Knowledge and skill running small machinery
• Work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Valid drivers license and reliable transportation
• Up to date First Aid
• Must sign Oath of Confidentiality
• High school diploma or G.E.D.
• Must have class 5 Drivers license
Working Conditions
• The Equine Maintenance Position will be required to work from: Monday to Friday, 830 – 430 (with a one-hour paid lunch break); flexibility to work evenings/weekends as needed.
• Primary location: Enoch Cree Nation RaceTrack Park, with occasional travel to various sites.
• Must be physically fit; walk, climb stairs, crouch, bend, crawl, stand for long periods of time or sit for long periods of time, ability to lift 50lbs. or more materials and/or equipment, etc.
• Must be willing to be open for ongoing training on cultural competency or sensitivity training.
• A valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle are required.
• Must sign and adhere to the Enoch Cree Nation Confidentiality Agreement upon hire.
