The Enoch Cree Nation joined the Government of Alberta and the City of Edmonton to announce major improvements coming to Whitemud Drive!
This project will expand Whitemud Drive to four lanes between Lewis Estates Boulevard and 231 Street, improve intersections and lighting, and help ease traffic congestion that affects our members and neighbouring communities.
Design work is already well underway, with final approvals expected in Q2 2026. Construction is planned to begin later in 2026 and will take place in phases through 2027. Early work has already started to prepare the site and support a smooth and timely build.
Enoch Cree Nation is proud to play a leading role by contributing land and working closely with our partners to support safer travel, better connectivity, and long-term growth for our Nation and the region. More updates will be shared as the project continues to move forward!
