Youth & Keyteyak Advisory Council

Youth & Keyteyak Advisory Council

The Youth & Keyteyak Advisory Council is a program focused on engaging and empowering youth people in Governance and policy making. Its main functions include conducting research and drafting policy proposals for review by the Council, organizing community events to highlight youth issues and creating educational opportunities about national governance and policy-making processes. Additionally, Youth Council receives directives from Leadership regarding reports on youth matters and provides networking opportunities for young people to connect and collaborate.

They assist with applications for status numbers through Indigenous Services Canada (ISC), helping members and potential members navigate the process to obtain or verify their Indigenous status. Membership services team supports the Enoch Cree Nation by managing applications, maintaining records, and ensuring accurate processing of membership-related matters.

The Enoch Echo/Communications team is the primary source of information for the Enoch Cree Nation community. They are crucial in keeping members informed about upcoming events, important updates, and key announcements. The team helps ensure that the community stays engaged and connected with the latest news and developments by providing timely and accurate information. Their work fosters transparency and facilitates effective communication between the leadership and the people of Enoch Cree Nation.

Grant Writers Department provide grant and funding resources to the Nation. Through grant proposals, grant reports through the Province of Alberta, the Federal government. This also includes ministries, faming, charities, national and regional programs, financial groups, foundations and companies. The Grant and funding resources are to assist the Nation in building holistic, healthy people and community by creating a healthy community for everyone.

The Chief of Operations (COO) is pivotal in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the entire organization, ensuring that each branch functions efficiently and effectively. The COO’s responsibilities encompass a range of critical areas including Operational Oversight, Strategic Planning, Resource Allocation, Risk Management, Performance Management, Process Improvement, Cross-Functional Collaboration, Talent Development, Technology and Innovation, Customer Satisfaction, Compliance and Ethics, Crisis Management, Reporting to the Board, Succession Planning. In essence, the COO plays a crucial role in maintaining operational excellence, managing risks, and driving continuous improvement within the organization.
