Job Purpose
To provide a visual security presence to ensure that the Enoch Cree Nation members and visitors have a safe and pleasant experience while visiting the Enoch Cree Nation. To ensure all Enoch Cree Nation’s assets are constantly monitored and patrolled at various times. The Security Guard is responsible for all or part of these areas: Duties include, but are not limited to the following: •Provide a visual security presence. •Conduct hourly rounds. •Also required to check stairwells, fire exits, mechanical room, and fire extinguishers and pull boxes. •Shall monitor alarm systems, sign in and out keys for equipment to authorized personnel. •Will admit staff and visitors into the building, by having them sign in and out. •Will be familiar with and understand the Nation’s Emergency Response Plan and evacuationprocedures. •Be able to provide control within crowds as required. •Maintain a daily log.Education, Experience and Requirements
•Submit a clear criminal record check.
•The candidate is required to sign the ECN Confidentiality agreement upon hire.
•The candidate must complete mandatory training requirements under Alberta SolicitorGeneral – Security Services and Investigators Act.
•Requires a working knowledge of computers and operating telephone/radio system.
•High School diploma or equivalent required.
•Must be at least 18 years of age.
•Must be able to work a flexible schedule, follow detailed procedures, and have goodcustomer service skills.
•Experience in the security field is an asset.
•Must be bondable.
•Must have a valid driver’s license.
•The candidate is required to be licensed under the Alberta Solicitor General – SecurityServices and Investigators Act prior to commencing work.
Working Conditions
Will be required to work at various locations with the Enoch Cree Nation during scheduled hours, evenings and weekends may be required. While adhering to the Enoch Cree Nation Human Resources Policy & Procedure Manual.
